In or Out

IN OR OUT?

IT'S NEARLY TIME TO DECIDE

So have you decided yet, are you going to vote?

There have been lots of  different opinions on whether we should stay or go, most of which are scaremongering information which does nothing apart from confuse the voters.

So here's the thing I'm a mother of a 16 year old, I was 11 years old at the time of the last vote on whether we should join the EU.  Since joining the EU the UK has changed in many ways: this is just my observations:

  • The population has increased by more than 10 million plus
  • It now takes longer to see a doctor
  • The waiting lists for operations is longer
  • It's difficult to get a NHS dentist
  • The classrooms in schools are larger, the teachers cannot give enough to to students
  • Easier for illegals to enter the UK
  • Increase in traffic
  • Not enough housing
  • It's easier to travel around Europe no border checks once to get to main land Europe
  • One currency in Europe
  • Easier to obtain skills which are lacking in the UK
  • Trading with European countries is easier, no customs etc
The way that I will be voting is by asking my 16 year old I will vote according to what my 16 year old thinks after weighing up all the facts from both sides, after all it will be that generation who will have to live with the outcome.

My personal views is that although it maybe difficult for the first year or two, but it will be worth the government and the people getting control back of the UK, it's time for the UK to stop being dictated to by the EU.

For or Against Leaving the EU

So the question is should we remain in the EU?

In 1973  Britain joined the EU Community, (not the EU Union)The Single European Act was signed. This was to create an internal market; “an area without frontiers in which the free movement of goods and persons, services and capital is ensured.

What was the EU Community -  The European Communities (EC), sometimes referred to as the European Community, were three international organisations that were governed by the same set of institutions. These were the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom), and the European Economic Community (EEC); the latter of which was renamed the European Community (EC) in 1993 by the  Maastricht Treaty, which formed the European Union.

The formation of the European Union meant that laws and legislation for it's members could be made without consulting local companies or public.

So here is how the normal person may look at the EU Referendum

Remaining in the EU has it's advantages, here just a few important points to consider:

  • it's easier to trade with other countries in the EU,
  • easier to source skilled employees,
  • easier travel to other EU countries.

However there are also disadvantages for staying in the EU, again here are a few important ones

  • easier for illegal immigrants to enter the country, due to easier boarder controls from the EU
  • EU citizens settling in the UK due to better employment opportunities, taking jobs away from the British people
  • Overcrowding in schools effecting education,
  • NHS meltdown, as the system wasn't meant to handle the size of today's population let alone the next 10 years

Other questions:

What about benefits, how long will they last, can Britain sustain a grow population if we stay in the EU?

What is the prognosis for government pensions, people are living longer?

Will we get any help from the EU if we take in more immigrants?

There are more questions but one thing is for sure, if you listen to the politicians and the campaigners you will end up being more confused.

Very simple facts for and against is what the normal person needs.
